<br />
<br />
<b>There are certain manual steps mentioned for moving Excel contacts in Outlook:</b> You can import contacts from Excel to Outlook following three major steps:
<br />
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>Make your contact info ready to be imported in Outlook</li>
<li>Then Import the contacts information</li>
<li>Map the Excel worksheet column with apt Outlook fields</li>
</ul>
<div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b>First Step: </b>First of all save entire contact info from Excel in some file which Outlook can import
</h3>
With Outlook, you can import CSV or Comma Separated Value files but no workbooks containing multiple sheets.
<br />

<li>In the workbook, press the worksheet comprises of contact details which you need to import</li>
<li>Click File then Save As.</li>
<li>Select the location to save the file</li>
<li>Go to Save as type box, select CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv), press Save.<br /><b>Note:</b> Excel shows message that ‘The selected file type does not contain workbooks that contain multiple sheets.’ This is showing the drawback of CSV file but nothing wrong will happen to the original workbook</li>
<li>Press OK.<br /><b>Note: </b>Excel tells you “Some features in your workbook might be lost if you save it as CSV (Comma delimited).” This refers only to limitations of the CSV file and can be ignored.</li>
<li>Press on ‘Yes’ to have Excel and save the latest worksheet as a CSV file. The original workbook or the .xlsx file closes. After this close the CSV file as well.<br /><b>Note: </b>By going through above mentioned steps, you have done with Excel. Begin with import process in MS Outlook.</li>
</ol>
<div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b>Second Step: </b>Begin Import Process</h3>
<ol style="text-align: left;">
<li>Go to Outlook, Press File >> Open & Export >> Import/Export.<br /><b>Note: </b>This help begin working with Import and Export Wizard.</li>
<li>Select Import from some other program or file and press ‘Next’</li>
<li>Select Comma Separated Values and press ‘Next’</li>
<li>Browse the CSV file you need to import.</li>
<li>Under the Options, select if you want to replace duplicates (existing contacts), generate duplicate contacts else will not import duplicates.</li>
<li>Press ‘Next’ and select the destination folder. Select the contacts by default, but if this is not the case, scroll up or down until and unless you fetch them. You can find a different folder otherwise, create a new folder.</li>
<li>Click Next.</li>
<li>Ensure that check box next to Import ‘MyContacts.csv’ is chosen.</li>
<li>‘Map’ few of the columns in your CSV file to the contact fields in Outlook. With mapping you can easily import contacts turn out the way you need.</li>
</ol>
<div>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Third Step: Map CSV files columns to the Outlook contact fields</h3>
<ol style="text-align: left;">
<li>Press the Map Custom Fields button and you will find it popped up on screen.<br />-> A box containing names from the CSV file you're importing will appear.<br />-> Under To, you will find the standard fields which Outlook uses for contacts. In case when a field matches with the column in the CSV file, you will see the column under Mapped from.<br />-> The fields Name, First Name, and Last Name is the standard Outlook contact fields, in case the contact info in your file has these contact names, you can go for it.</li>
<li>Perform manual mapping.</li>
<li>In the pane on the left, drag Cell Ph and drop it on Mobile Phone in the right pane.<br />-> You'll notice that Cell Ph now appears next to Mobile Phone in the Mapped from column.</li>
<li>At a time, do with the one then drag other values from the left pane to the suitable Outlook fields in the right pane.</li>
<li>Click Finish.</li>
</ol>
<div>
<b>Drawbacks of manual method:</b> You will find the above mentioned method a cumbersome procedure. This process is so very long and at the same time to be followed. In fact, you are likely to face issue slow conversion, difficulties etc. It is better to opt for professional help where you have to pay less and get more effective consequences.<br />

<i><b>One of the most asked feature available in Excel is to combine text from multiple cells into one cell.</b></i><br />
<br />
<u>Let us take an Example with Name</u> i.e. First & Last name which is when received in two separate columns one can find it difficult to combine them together. But using this feature one can easily combine 2 columns in a separate column.<br />
<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
<b>As shown below in image:</b></h3>
We have Column B with first name & Column C with last name<br />
<br />
You can name D1 as "Full Name"<br />
Enter any of the following formulas in Cell D2<br />
<br />
=B2 & " " & C2 (will give you "FirstName LastName")<br />
=B2 & ", " & C2 (will result in "FirstName, LastName")<br />
=B2&C2 (will result in "FirstNameLastName")<br />

MS Outlook, the foremost application utilized by computer users for emailing and other concerns. Various versions of the application are availed into international market for offering easiness to perform emailing tasks and collaborative operations easily and instantly. Including instant work for data share when connected to internet, Outlook can easily utilized when you are facing concerns regarding internet connectivity. It means this application makes your tasks easy during improper internet connectivity or during Server downtime. Outlook when works in offline mode then, data gets stored into OST file format. Both of files named as OST and PST are same, little difference in these file formats is OST’s data gets stored into local folders as well as PST data gets saved onto the Server.<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Outlook PST Conversion – Is It A Necessary Need??</h3>
Often times, all such facilities with Outlook do not attract users when they are in instant need to access emails and other details into different file format like MSG, EML etc. In such compelling situations, Outlook PST file conversion is utilized by Outlook users. To extract emails and other details from PST to other file formats, it is needed to go for a professional solution that can easily shift a big range of emails from PST to desired file format without losing original properties.<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
Highly Opted File Formats During PST File Conversion</h3>
For shifting contacts from PST to globally accessible file format, PST users should adopt vCard file format, this is not only accepted over different email clients but also useful for users those have dependency on digital gadgets. vCard contacts can easily added to the contact list of users’ mobile or laptop etc.<br />
<br />
When we talk about extraction of PST emails into different file formats like EML, MSG, HTML, MHT, etc then, all these email file formats have their own significance. EML and MSG file formats are treated as single email file format. With these file formats one can keep their crucial emails into a specified file format.<br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;">Time has finally come when Microsoft will cease all the extending
support for Windows XP and the unofficial date is 8th April 2014.
Windows XP users might be gathering answers to quest like how to deal with <u>XP backup after 8 April 2014.</u> Considering
the fact that 29% of users are still connected to Windows XP and some of these
belong to some organizations and others are individual home users from various
corners of the world, this huge step will not be easy to tackle.<o:p></o:p></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span>
<br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span></div>

<b><i><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;">Will Windows XP Stop Running Completely?<o:p></o:p></span></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<b><i><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;">No! You will be able to access Windows XP the way you did before
and you can continue using this OS after April 2014 also.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">
<ul class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<li>There will not be any difference operating Windows XP but the technical assistance provided for XP OS will not be given anymore.</li>
<li>Automatic updates for protection or security of OS will not be provided.</li>
<li>MS Security Essentials for any download on this Operating System will be restricted thereby increasing the risk factor of systems with this OS getting infected by virus.</li>
<li>Microsoft will end releasing any security updates and patches.</li>
<li>This step has been taken by Microsoft so as to implement all resources towards recent technologies instead of supplying them to older versions for more productivity.</li>
<li>But Windows XP will not be completely terminated and users can use this Operating System later also.</li>
</ul>
<div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<b><i><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">What About Windows XP
NTBackup File?<o:p></o:p></span></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">
<b><i><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;"><br /></span></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;">Well as far as the security
and safety is concerned, user must backup all data files regularly and update
it regularly. This will be wise decision to take a backup without any delay so
that if anything goes wrong with your data as security will be less in Windows
XP you will have a safe side so that you can restore back your data. This
backup can be easily created by NTBackup utility which is present in Windows XP
OS and will continue to be afterwards also so that backup can be created.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<b><i><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;">What If You Decide to
Migrate to Windows 7/8?<o:p></o:p></span></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<b><i><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span></i></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;">In case you feel that
continuing with Windows XP OS will be risky and decide to move to Windows 7 or
8 you can easily do this by simply transferring all the data to new OS in one
go by restoring BKF file. But, since Windows 7 or 8 do not support BKF file you
will need some extra platform to be used for restoring backup file of Windows
XP. For this you will need third party software like <b><a href="http://www.bkffilerepair.com/restore-bkf-file-in-windows-8.html">BKF Restore Tool</a></b> which is
capable to restore backup file without NTBackup utility.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

Cause for Such Errors</span></i></b><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">:<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;">
<span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">This
error message is shown because your NTBackup utility restore program is unable
to identify .bkf file structure since it has been damaged badly. Corruption in
BKF causes file to get damaged to core, and hence it is not in valid Windows
2000 backup file format. When Windows 2000 opens a .bkf file, it first checks
if the backup file is valid or not. It means it checks if its structure in
valid Windows 2000 backup file format or not. In case file is damaged, it
throws error messages like: “</span><u><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><b>The backup
file is unusable. You must erase it, or choose another file</b></span></u><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;">”</span><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> and restoration process completely stops.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<b><i><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Precautions
for Backup Operations</span></i></b><span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">:<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">To
check integrity of a backup file, you can select “<b>Verify data After Backup</b>”
advance option while performing any backup operation. This option is provided
to make sure that backup process is completed successfully and integrity of
.bkf file and its structure is maintained. You can also check for backup report
to avoid any such kind of errors while restoring.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">However,
when your backup has already been corrupted, such precautionary steps won’t
work. These error messages are symptoms that your .bkf file needs some
repairing, unless and until it gets repaired it will not get restored. BKF Repair Tool provides an excellent handling of corrupted backup file
and helps you extract necessary data files from corrupted .bkf file. It provides
many advantageous features which lets you experience a worry-free affair of
recovering .bkf file and that too without any annoying prompting error
messages. So whenever your BKF restoration process shows error messages like “</span><u><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;"><b><i>The backup file is unusable. You must erase it, or choose another

<span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Windows
8 and Windows 7 server have completely new backup tools which are way too
different from the previous versions. Albeit of the fact that these modifications
were grievously needed with growing needs of technically expedite users, those users
who had their precious cache stored BKF file are facing the drawbacks of this
drastic change.<o:p></o:p></span><br />

<span style="font-family: "Verdana","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 115%;">This
is because modifications in features always keep previous features aboard, and
every user is very fond of “new” things and forgets about “old” stuff. But when
user came to know that the much hyped “new” thing is not capable to meet the
requirement of restoring BKF file comprising important backup, modifications
tends to become absurd. The bitter truth is backup tool of Windows 8 cannot <u>restore

When I was searching for a solution to move some contacts (i.e. 263 to be precise) from my phone into a new Google account. When I tried to perform it manually, it will only let me select one file at a time for importing & it can be a time consuming process for 263 contacts.<br />
<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
It can be done simply with the process explained here:</h3>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>Note down path for your .vcf files or Copy it from address bar</li>
<li>Open command prompt (Press Win+R, type CMD then press enter)</li>
<li>In command window, type CD then paste (right click and select paste Ctrl+V will not work there), then press enter.</li>
<li>Change the current drive to drive with vcf files (if it is in E drive type E:) then enter</li>
<li>Then type copy *.VCF all.VCF then press enter</li>
<li>Now all the VCF files will be append to newly created all.VCF File & can work on all VCF supported platforms.</li>
</ul>

<span style="font-size: 20px;">Moreover, I have tried to <a href="http://lmgtfy.com/?q=combine+all+.vcf+files+to+single+.vcf+file+manually" target="blank">Google it for you</a>.</span></div>

With the availability of two options, user can choose any of the desired option from these two:
<br />
<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
1. Launch Windows System Image Backup & Backup Windows 8 system</h3>
It is great to have Windows system backup option in Windows 8. You can launch Windows backup tool for that follow:<br />
<br />
<b><i>Control Panel >> Windows 7 Backup File Recovery & then you can click "<span style="color: red;">Set up backup</span>" option.</i></b><br />
<b><i><br /></i></b>
Else, you can directly launch Windows backup option with "<span style="color: red;"><b>sdclt.exe</b></span>" using Command Prompt.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPTbBACkBCqnwqDGA2YfV7RUYGR4xMsexIcTNhwXkLw8DKp1bSSrJBf89475y3oWF6jhswtvKFBab9e5-luG3Y1XyeTpUicW9eMt2qjIywn_Iqcd6v4vaZBQdlbHFOWo1cfN-2e6-nZ4yr/s1600/windows-8-backup.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPTbBACkBCqnwqDGA2YfV7RUYGR4xMsexIcTNhwXkLw8DKp1bSSrJBf89475y3oWF6jhswtvKFBab9e5-luG3Y1XyeTpUicW9eMt2qjIywn_Iqcd6v4vaZBQdlbHFOWo1cfN-2e6-nZ4yr/s1600/windows-8-backup.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMlA6XrjCYqWfB636O8uksoc2UUBUDGXkKZDGAEN6htlPb046_MF3XJs3qG_cbhWbpo2OM7zFC8KylCqyxtDeTWkrnkIsKhpGo-7i0GJp84Qdy2xi1MRWRx4Tfx1cA3Ihni1FsH_-hsD3B/s1600/setup-windows8-backup.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMlA6XrjCYqWfB636O8uksoc2UUBUDGXkKZDGAEN6htlPb046_MF3XJs3qG_cbhWbpo2OM7zFC8KylCqyxtDeTWkrnkIsKhpGo-7i0GJp84Qdy2xi1MRWRx4Tfx1cA3Ihni1FsH_-hsD3B/s1600/setup-windows8-backup.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
With Windows Backup you will be allowed to have an image backup of full system or selected files & folders on network location or an external drive. You are also allowed to create system repair disc which can be used to repair & restore the system in any bootable situation.
<br />
<br />
<h3 style="text-align: left;">
2. Backup Windows 8 With File History</h3>
File History is the name of Windows 8 backup which can backup only those files which are available at user data locations i.e. libraries, desktop folder, contacts & favorites. To backup a random folder, you are supposed to add it to your libraries.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7YhtKbO1uxP1z5lSaFN6aQfYsRRmHWJVEz7FGcLwKm6T7HqR6LoYj9mWRqdDBDhgXc-ROcR9-9NWI4v3gT58SLQBQAikttelO_adWUsfFCukeIBCr7P3kvFlofzWegnF0dofo4z9UA7-l/s1600/file-history-is-on.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7YhtKbO1uxP1z5lSaFN6aQfYsRRmHWJVEz7FGcLwKm6T7HqR6LoYj9mWRqdDBDhgXc-ROcR9-9NWI4v3gT58SLQBQAikttelO_adWUsfFCukeIBCr7P3kvFlofzWegnF0dofo4z9UA7-l/s1600/file-history-is-on.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
With the completion of process to setup File History, Windows will start saving copies of your files on a regular time basis. Files <b>can be saved on a network or to an external drive</b> automatically in the background.<br />
<br />
<b>In case you have used an external drive</b>, File History will resume saving process when external drive is plugged in.<br />
<br />

<b><span style="background-color: white; color: #0c343d;"><u>Situation</u>:</span></b>
When Ntbackup.exe tool is used to restore data from Windows backup file (.bkf), user can face the following error situation:<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
"
<span style="background-color: #fff2cc;"><span style="color: red; font-size: large;"><i>Unable to Restore</i></span></span>"</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLi2FzhXQQeUOHquq_zUXEvzOAnx1_uVqXr8GjbsSNElOlodtQV-BQLdXbX9sHxOKnZG48tJQFIiYoYy9SbvLg0w9g28P5rmn9ps1GsqNHgT5G5fAwH3IAboDyOZAO_fcjrr8098bkjz7b/s1600/unable-to-restore.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLi2FzhXQQeUOHquq_zUXEvzOAnx1_uVqXr8GjbsSNElOlodtQV-BQLdXbX9sHxOKnZG48tJQFIiYoYy9SbvLg0w9g28P5rmn9ps1GsqNHgT5G5fAwH3IAboDyOZAO_fcjrr8098bkjz7b/s1600/unable-to-restore.png" /></a></div>
<br />
<b><span style="background-color: white; color: #0c343d;"><u>Reason</u>:</span></b>
Error situation is faced when Ntbackup.exe encounters with an unknown data stream. There can be stream id's in third-party .bkf file that are unknown to Ntbackup.exe tool & it can be the reason for the cause of error. "<u>Unable to restore</u>" is the error message faced while restoring bkf file via Ntbackup.exe tool as <i><b>instead of skipping invalid data stream, it comes up with the error</b></i>.
<br />
<br />
<b><span style="background-color: white; color: #0c343d;"><u>Solution</u>:</span></b>
Solution for this problem is updated service pack of Windows 2000<br />
<br />
<b><span style="background-color: white; color: #0c343d;"><u>It Applies with</u>:</span></b>
MS Windows 2000 Server, MS Windows 2000 Advanced Server, MS Windows 2000 Professional Edition
<br />
<br />
<b><span style="background-color: white; color: #0c343d;"><u>Important Note</u>:</span></b>
After updating Windows server 2000, you will be unable to restore complete data files as Ntbackup.exe will skip the invalid data stream; just to continue with the restoration process.
